Squishface Studios First ‘Exhibitchin’
Squishface Comics Studio, in which the public can ogle artists at work, are presenting their very first exhibition. Expect works from David Blumenstein, Marta Tesoro, Ben Hutchings, Sacha Bryning, Sarah Howell, Ive Sorocuk, Arran McKenna and Jo Waite, as well as bitchin' tunes, crazy costumes, chocolate-infested food, tarot readings, body art, a comics jam, badge-making, personality testing, portrait drawing... and an entire leg of ham.
If you're kicking yourself that you can't make all that, the next day – Sunday – there's the Skinny Arse Comics Launch at 4pm, launching books by Tohby Riddle, J. Marc Schmidt, Peter Foster, David Blumenstein and Gregory Mackay. It's held at Yarra Building, Fed Square, with an after party to follow.

Arctic Circle Celebrates 5 Years
Arctic Circle creator Alex Hallatt is celebrating five years in syndication with her strip. The strip was actually created in 1992, but didn’t appear in newspapers until 2007 after it ran as a guest strip in the Australian Rural Press. King Features picked it up in 2007. An eBook is also in the works.
