These recommended rates are a guide only and are devised from the standard freelance rate issued by the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance. 

Remember copyright is automatic to the artist under the Copyright Act 1968 unless the artist transfers copyright by agreement. Ownership of original artwork does NOT automatically go to the client unless agreed to. Make sure to visit the Australian Copyright Council www.copyright.org.au and the Arts Law Centre of Australia www.artslaw.com.au.
