CAL represents authors, publishers and visual artists (including cartoonists and illustrators) and allocates 1% of copyright licence fees collected on their behalf to cultural development. This is known as The Cultural Fund. The Cultural Fund supports a wide variety of projects which aim to encourage, and provide practical assistance to CAL's members and the Australian cultural community.
