The Stanley Awards
The ACA is the world's oldest cartoonist organisation founded in Sydney in 1924. In 2010 it celebrates its 86th birthday at the 26th Stanley Awards to be held at Rydges Melbourne Hotel on November 5th-7th.
Comic book legend Stan Goldberg, sponsored by Copyright Agency Limited, will be a special guest at the 26th Stanley Awards in Melbourne on the weekend of November 6. Stan is best known for his work as a flagship artist of Archie Comics and as a Marvel Comics' 1960s colorist, who helped design the original color schemes of Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and other major characters. Stan joins Jason Seiler to headline an impressive cartoon conference that is sure to lure and entertain cartoonists and comic book artists from all over Australia. 
Stan Goldberg
Jason Seiler, sponsored by Wacom, is an accomplished caricaturist from Chicago specializing in digital technology. Both Stan and Jason will be conducting master classes at the cartoonists convention during The Stanleys weekend. Stan's presence at The Stanleys coincides with the ACA introducing a Stanley Award for Comic Book Art in 2010 - one of the results from the ACA members' taken earlier this year. ACA President Jules Faber said, "Jason will talk about his caricature experience and Stan will talk about his history with Archie and his beginnings at Marvel (working with that other Stan) helping design characters like Spider-man and the Fantastic Four. The Stanleys is bound to be just as massive as it was in Sydney last year, so make sure you keep those dates free - November 5-7 in Melbourne! It's gonna be huger than HUGE! Please spread the word particularly with the comic book artists world that Stan will be coming. All cartoonists would be mad to miss him and Jason Seiler".
