NSW/ACT:

Now that the 2009 Stanleys are out of the way, it’s time to get the NSW/ACT branch of the ACA back into some semblance of activity. 2010 will see a fairly regular calendar of social and professional  events - more details will be revealed during the coming weeks.

First and foremost is the resumption of our Coffee Mornings in Sydney. We have a new venue - Crepes Kingdom, Shop 26 at the Italian Forum, 23 Norton Street, Leichhardt - in the heart of Sydney’s “multicultural hub”, famed for the abundance of coffee houses, restaurants and Italian football parties. So why not round off the working week with a relaxed cartooning chinwag? The first meeting will be at 11:00am on Friday, 12 March. See you there!

June: Smock Night, Canberra. Date to be advised.
26-28 June: Supanova Sydney, Olympic Park
July: Product Night. Date to be advised.
September: 3 of a Kind Night. Date to be advised.
Cartoonists' Coffee: 12 March, 2 April, 5 May, 2 June, 7 July, 4 August, 1 September, 6 October, 1 December

SOUTH AUSTRALIA/NORTHERN TERRITORY

The SA/NT schedule of events is fairly simple, but regular, at the moment:

Coffee Mornings each Friday, Cafe Tranquillo, main street of Stirling, 10.30 on. John Martin usually emails regulars a day or so before to get an idea of who is coming. All are welcome!
Contact John Martin at martinart@tpg.com.au or Simon Kneebone at simknee@bigpond.net.au

Other activities etc will be advised.

Annual: "Not The Stanleys Dinner" held during the Stanleys weekend in November.
Upcoming events: A weekend meeting for SA-based members and an etching workshop with John Martin. Dates to be advised.

Other activities etc will be advised.

VICTORIA/TASMANIA

Calling Victorian Cartoonists! Our next official meeting will be on Tuesday the 6th of April at TheRetreat. There are a number of things to discuss and a number of things to show,  amongst them traditional funny pictures and works by Gerald Scarfe.  A bottle of wine awaits the person who draws his signature from the hat. The food is good and reasonably priced. The address: 226 Nicholson Street, Abbotsford.  Officially starting 7pm, try to be earlier (6pm?) And try to let Rolf know whether you can come! Rolf: vic@cartoonists.org.au

June 2nd Regular meeting at Savage Club, Melbourne
August 4th, Regular meeting, venue to be advised
October 6th, Regular meeting, venue to be advised
December 1st ,  Regular meeting, traditionally at the Haddon country house at Mount Cole.

Committee meetings will be scheduled whenever matters need to be discussed and decided. These are usually held at 170 Mills Street, Albert Park, usually 4 times a year. A number of events are being planned, but no fixed dates are available. These include -

Visit to Creswick for exhibition on Ruby Lindsay work (February?)
Visit to the National Gallery of Victoria for English cartoon exhibition (March?);
Visit to Jewish Museum St.Kilda for exhibition of Jewish cartoons (May?)
Visit to Art Gallery Bendigo and picnic (date to be discussed)

WESTERN AUSTRALIA
We will continue with our coffee mornings (every 4 to 8 weeks), as these seem to be popular and easy for most to attend, and the dates will be announced by email.  Other activities will be conceived at these meetings.
