Mark Guthrie

An ex cow-cocky who majored in illustration having completed his Visual Arts degree at Griffith University.

Mark has worked in the animation industry, mainly with Walt Disney Animation Australia in Sydney. His film credits include everything and anything with a 2 in their title. Also for The Disney Channel (The Proud Family) and Warner Bros (Bugs Bunny).

Throughout this time he also worked as a freelance Illustrator/Cartoonist. Mark's panels, strips and illustrations have appeared in The Bulletin, DMag (Pigboy & Freckles), K-Zone, Mania, Krash, APN Regional Newspapers, Australian Penthouse, Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane Child, Consuming Interest magazine, Picture, People, Club, Hustler Humour, book covers for Random House, corporate clients.

Bottled Fruit, a single panel cartoon series, Animal Crackers and Pic Puzzles (seen weekly in Adelaide's Sunday Mail, The Beaudesert TImes and the Buderim Chronicle) - both children's features, are syndicated through Auspac Media.

Mark's children's book The Stinky Poo Grubs is in a bookstore/K-Mart/Myer near you - hopefully.

Miss Feline's Unusual Pets, Harry the Hug Monster and Leonardo's Spot of Trouble (written by Lisa Thompson, Donna Lawther and Robert Favretto respectively) and illustrated by Mark, are being published in 2010.
